52 Weeks of Color – Silver

I’ve contemplating joining the 52 weeks of color challenge, because it sounded like so much fun.  But, I felt bad about starting late.   I finally decided it was a new year, and that was a time for new things – and I didn’t feel so bad about starting the challenge late anymore.  So, here is my first color – Silver.  And, hopefully the start of many more colors to come.

Fierce Sugar… The Finalist!

I just couldn’t resist blogging this look any longer.   I am a Miss Virtual World 2010 Finalist and this is the outfit I wore for the audition.  I love this look so much and I just can’t describe the excitement I’ve had these last weeks knowing that I’m a finalist.  I’m so honored to be able to work with some of the most beautiful, talented ladies in all of SLand.  I also want to say how thankful I am to all of my friends that helped encourage me, offered up all the advice they could, graciously tp’d me when I needed a last minute second opinion, and one great friend that even made me a custom piece of jewelry.  And last but not least a HUGE Thank You to Roxe Brimmer for volunteering her photographic skills for this post.

Glam is the name of the game…

What can I say?  The more time I spend with my dear friend Chance Greatrex I just glam it out even more.  He brings out the fierce and fabulous in me.  And I can’t thank him enough for his friendship lately.  This entire outfit came togehter because of a hat.  The amazing Audrey Hat from Lelutka.  (I dare say that you will see me using this hat in many more posts to come)  I must say that I got more compliments on this outfit while shopping across the grid than I have any other outfit I’ve worn out and about.  So, if any of the admirers are reading this… Thank You.. It’s lovely for the ego. 🙂

A Breath of Fresh Air in a World of Fashion

 

I know the world can never have enough hair, but I had to take some of my day today and participate in a little full fledged, total body fashion.  I attended the EIMA Spring Fling  Fashion Show, and while all the models were beautiful.  I also fell in love with the outfit that I was wearing and decided to blog it.  I hope all the readers enjoy a little break from hair as much as I have, it was a little breath of fresh air.   I’ll be back to my full hair blogging self tonight/tomorrow.  Stay Tuned! 🙂

My 6 Favorite Posers

When one makes a habit of blogging as much as possible, their inventory of poses tends to go through the roof.  Now, I will admit that I don’t think I have nearly as many as some bloggers and fashionistas on the grid.  But, when my pose stand of favorites has nearly 300 poses.  I think I can say that I’m a full fledged poser.  

I wanted to continue my countdown by doing something a little different and naming my favorite posers (pose makers).  My favorite countdown is about fashion, and without our poses we would never get to show off our fashions.   Narrowing my favs down to 6 was REALLY hard.  I can’t describe how hard it was.  And I know that there are some amazing, talented pose designers out there that I’m not mentioning and I have used their poses and been extremely pleased.  But, I could only choose 6.  Here is how I choose my 6 favorites.  1 – How many poses I actually had from the designer.  The more I had the closer they got to the top.  (Obviously, if I keep going back to buy more and more I really like them) and 2 – Ingenuity- Those poses that hopefully make us stop and stare.  The poses that aren’t just a stand but the onees that show a brief moment in time that seems captured still.

I want to say thank you for all the poses that are provided to us by all the amazingly talented designers.  I try to give credit to ya’ll when I can (but I do know that I am lacking in giving credit)  I do promise to start doing a much better job because ya’ll are amazing and truly deserve all the credit and thanks that you can get.

That’s Miss Capitaine to You!

 

It’s truly hard to believe that I’m still going through boxes and gifts from the bloggers’ appreciation week.  Actually, it’s not that hard at all to think seeing how we were treated like royalty and given gifts beyond our wildest dreams. The dress I’m wearing was what I chose with my Sexy2nd gift card and I love it so much! 

I chose to wear it today and style it with some red in honor of Memorial Day and while I don’t think that is what was in mind when the designer originally made it, I just felt like it was the perfect outfit to wear to a quiet place and observe solemnly all those that have lost their life fighting for our country.  I will not get into my political thoughts or views about war or the military.  But I will say that anytime someone loses their life it is a sad tragedy for all the families and loved ones that are left without that person.  I hope that everyone tonight is safe and not in harms way.
