Forget Valentine’s Day!  Who needs it?  Especially when you have the Chic Limited Anti-Valentine’s items.   Just take a look at this beautiful Bad Romance Coat.  Perfect for staying warm in cold weather and telling all those bad boys that you really do mean business.  Faint has done an amazing job!  This coat fits me right in all the wrong places.  And speaking of wrong… I know smoking is wrong, I know it will kill me.  But, for heaven’s sakes I look damn sexy doing it!  This cigarette? …a fashionista goes casual…

This is about as real life me as I think that 99% of you will ever get the chance to know.  It’s not because I am rude, or I don’t care.  I am just simply that shy and private of a person and I find it very hard for me to allow people in to the real me.  The truth is that I may run around as a fashionista in world – but my RL takes me to a world of tshirts and blue jeans.   And, I nearly always have my camera around my neck or in my hands. 🙂

Friends and Poses

I have to admit, one of my favorite things about coming back has been seeing what success stories some of my old friends and colleagues have become.  I’m so proud of so many of them! When I found out that Mavi Beck was making poses now for Miamai, I became super excited and couldn’t wait to use them for a blog.  Then, I ventured to Osakki for the new opening and I became completely inspired to dress up.  I ran into a good friend (Beyonce) and she told me how much she loved reading my blog and I knew what I had to do.  I had to write!  I always have been in love with the creations at LaGyo so I was so excited to see SO many new designs.   Gyorgyna has just blown me away with all her designs and needless to say I have a very long shopping list.  LeeZu has always been one of my favorite stores, and it was my favorite job I ever had in SL (I was so broken hearted when I had to leave).  The textures are still amazing and the jeans have quickly become staples for my wardrobe.  The Inaya skin is something new for me, and I am IN LOVE!  (I don’t know if I’ll be changing that anytime soon) 🙂

 I’m not even going to try to cover it up, I don’t know what the current SL trends are and I certainly haven’t been able to keep up with what has been blogged and what hasn’t.  I just hope you enjoy my style and continue reading. 🙂  (I promise I will get caught up at some point)

My official 1st Blog back!

It’s my first real day back in SL.  It was a very long and extended vacation.  Many months for personal reasons that I’d rather not discuss on my blog, and also due to computer problems.  While I missed all of my friends and all the fashion; I am very grateful for the time I had away from SL.   I had the opportunity truly treasure the “real world” again, and I’ve had so many new experiences that I am forever thankful for.  While I wanted to continue my blog, I have also made a promise to myself that I will not allow my blog, or any other SL ventures ever become more important than all the treasures of my real life again. 

I’ve also decided to do my blog, my way.  I’m no longer going to worry about critics or editors or any other fashion icon in SL tell me what I should or shouldn’t do or how I should or shouldn’t do it.  What you see is what you get.  It’s a reflection of my own personal style, and my own unique mood that I may have at that time.

(Geez.. that was rather long and personal… Now on to the style!)

I wore a combination of old and new today.  And hopefully you’ll be seeing a difference in my approach to blog photos.  I’ve spent the past few months focusing on my photography in real life, so I’m hoping you see a little bit of reflection of that while looking at my fashion blog.

To The Nines…

I was perusing on Plurk when I saw something from Barbara Nicholls that caught my eye.   A model search at Leezu.  Hooray!  Being a long time fan of LeeZu! (I actually started out loving the designs when it was Leezu Baxter Designs and I must say it is the textures I fell in love with.)  Pure Yumminess!  So, since it was LeeZu! (which I love) and there are rarely model openings, I became extremely excited and proceeded to piece an outfit together with some of my LeeZu/LBD pieces.  As I saw the entire outfit coming together, I thought to myself. “I’m going to have to blog this.” (Which is of course, what I am doing right now)  

My fun adventure of a story doesn’t end there.  As many of you know I just completed a RL move and I am still “borrowing” my neighbor’s internet access.  (Some of you could say it’s stealing… but I just think that is quite rude of you to say.. It’s “Borrowing”  (Mainly because I’m doing it politely))  ::wink::  Due to the aformentioned borrowing of the internet, SL has been a monster unleashing lag on me and every snapshot taken results in a “Not Responding” message.  So I visited the dear ole’ Best of SL Readers chat room and asked for help.   That’s where the wonderful and talented Roxe Brimmer offered to help me by joining me on the To The Nines SIM and photographing me… And that is why these are the most beautiful pictures you’ve ever seen on this blog.  Don’t believe me?  Just keep looking!

High Fashion Mourning

 My dear friend Marleen Vaughan is closing her store Marlys (huge sale, so hop to it!), and I put this little outfit together in honor of her.

Marly is the sweetest and most humble and often times stubborn person I know, and I have come to find that the only way I can truly tell her how amazing she is, is to just blog about it and have her find it later.  I feel ultra chic and spyish when I do it too!  (+1 point for me)

Truth be told, I was on my way out of SL and blogging when I came across Marly and her wonderful SIM of which I have resided for some months now.   Thank You Marly for making SL fun again for me.
