Is Third Time a Charm?

Is third time a charm?  3 days back in blogging, and I feel myself already fighting the addiction of it all.   I promised myself one hour a night in SL and one blog a night.  Now it’s becoming that blog a night requires 1 hour of shopping, 1-2 hours of dressing, 1 hour of pictures and editing, and then finally writing the blog.   What can I say?  I missed it and I love it!

I’ve long been obsessed with Alexander McQueen’s really strange and bizarre shoes since I saw them on the runway.  In real life, I found them utterly odd, and impossible to walk in.   In not so many words…. ridiculous.   But they made a statement and stuck in my mind,  and in so many ways… that is the defination of true fashion.   Clothing that becomes art.  Art that transforms into emotions.  Emotions that eventually find themselves into SL, becoming fashion again, only this time…  Yay!  I can walk in them!   And it’s absolutely perfect because my SL self looks great in pretty much everything she wears – including the shoes that I loathe and love all at the same time.  And so this beautiful circle of life and fashion has transformed once again and become my style of the day.

Work and Play

 Just a little bit of newness to share with this outfit. (Warning this is a quick post after a LONG weekend)  The first thing I’m going to mention are the amazing Bax Coen Prestige Boots.  Bax never fails to dissapoint I went forever without taking off my ankle boots upon their release, and it looks like I’ve got some knee high boots to wear for days on end.  Not only are the textures and fit amazing, but I am always unbelievably impressed with the work that goes into the scripting of Bax’s objects making them completely versatile and unique to each owner.  I had to buy both colors offered in both Black and White as I stood in the store completely unable to decide.

 

New from Chikka Designs is the lovely leather jacket.  Which for once I chose in a color other than Black or Grey, and I decided with purple.  I’m so thrilled with my choice.  I love this jacket.  And it’s definately fun to add a little color to my wardrobe.   I feel so “I’m a business woman that just got off of work and now I’m ready to hit the town and have fun!”

Back to Work!

My vacation is officially over today in RL, and my move is complete in SL.  So, it’s back to work in both of my worlds.  I chose a style today that reflects my RL style almost exactly (except thrown in some Mary Janes in place of the Stilettos)  Yes, this is how you see me dressed for work in RL

Meghindo has done it again.  This is the most beautiful dress.  It comes with 3 skirt options, and I have opted for the super big super princess one.  Just look at how it moves in the poses!  (Well, I tried to capture the emotion)  Simply beautiful.

A Haute Thursday

First of all, I would like to introduce you to my guest photographer for today Miss Klet Glas.  She did some amazing work didn’t she?  Just simply beautiful.  Thank You so much Klet!

I have so many mixed emotions about the ensemble I’ve put together for all my readers today.  Most of the items are review copies, so my first emotions are grateful and thankful.  But, I have included some pieces from the soon to be closed Crimson Shadow sim so there is some sadness attached as well.  However, I got the Crimson Shadow items for only 50L so that of course is happiness.  Without further statement of my emotions let the ensemble information begin.

It started with a top, well actually a dress to be exact.  Thora was kind enough to send me over some review copies, and one of those items was the new Lelutka QI Dress in deep pink.  The dress is fabulous, but everyone knows I can never wear something “off the rack.”  And now we come to the skirt. Monica sent me some wonderful pieces from her Miamai Fashion Creations.  This is from the Vanita Black Gown and it is beautiful.  145 prims!  Amazing job, it’s just simply beautiful.  (You’ll be seeing more designs of hers from me in upcoming blogs.)  The hair was a gift from amazing designer Jeanie Valois of Posh and it is Elle Loves Bows in Charcoal.  Just adorable and amazing, like all of her hair.  And, of course, in following with nearly all of my previous blogs I am wearing a skin from the oBscene by the outstandingly talented Kuja Akina.  This skin is Braelyn – Beda in Tone 2 and should be available for purchase very soon.  Oh, and can you believe I don’t have to talk about shoes???

I cannot express how excited I was when I received the new skins from Kuja Akina.  I actually received these a few days ago.. and have been waiting rather impatiently to post all the hair fair blogs so I could finally post about my favorite skins in the world.

Kuja has an amazing ability to create so many different personalities within her skins.  Yes, I said personality within skin.  If you don’t believe that statement, then look at the pictures above.  I can transform into everything from shy and demure, glamourous, wicked, au natural, posh, and even a little bit of crazy.  

I always feel when I wear these skins, I truly set myself apart from everyone else in SL.  In a world of all beautiful people, sometimes it’s really nice to stand out in a crowd.  And, speaking 100% truthfully.. it’s always good fun to make some heads turn  

As amazing as all these skins are, Kuja has even gone a step farther by creating a wet skin.  Although, I have not shown them here, I must say they are perfect for all those photo shoots in your sexiest bikini by the beach.

Sweet Hair Fair Favorites

I can’t believe it!  Over 6 hours of shopping and I still had time to blog it all before Hair Fair officially opens at midnight.

Why did I call these my Sweet Hair Fair Favorites?  (Well, you’ll just have to wait and go!) But… before Hair Fair officially opens, I wanted to show off some of my favorite finds today to everyone.   Not just great hairs, but great designers!  These are the people I bought multiple from because I just couldn’t help myself.  I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the talented designers gathered together for this year’s Hair Fair.  And a special kudos must go to all the designers and planners because the SIM is just beautiful!

I want to point out 3 designers I’ve shown here that we haven’t seen mentioned on the grid too often, that I must say after looking at, demoing, buying, and then writing about their product I think are going to start heating up.  First up is Posh Hair.  Great Styles, texture, and movement.  I love the bows not only in the headband of one hairstyle but also in the hair itself.  Second – Head Mistress. I was just blown away when I saw these, and I must say that I love the name of the shop just as much as I love the hair.  And Third – Raspberry Aristocrat.  I didn’t have the opportunity to meet the designer of Raspberry like I did with that of Posh and Head Mistress but I was still very impressed with the hair and super excited to see hair that I had not ever bought before in my time in SL.  There are so many wonderful things about Hair Fair and the charity that is being supported.  But speaking strictly in world – I love that it is an opportunity to find new designers. 

All of the rest of the hair designers I showed you today are amazing as well.  Vanity Hair.  (Tabata – I love you. You are a sweetheart) and of course  Aoharu, Truth and Maitreya.  I have been waiting for the new Maitreya hairs for what seems like forever and was so glad to finally get them on.  And the Truth hair did not dissapoint.  (Truth’s hair never dissapoints me)

I also bought up the lamb and Tiny Bird.  But for sake of blogger variety I chose not to feature those in this blog since they have already been featured so much.  (I’ll just tell my readers they are amazing.. and go ahead and  buy them)
