…a fashionista goes casual…

This is about as real life me as I think that 99% of you will ever get the chance to know.  It’s not because I am rude, or I don’t care.  I am just simply that shy and private of a person and I find it very hard for me to allow people in to the real me.  The truth is that I may run around as a fashionista in world – but my RL takes me to a world of tshirts and blue jeans.   And, I nearly always have my camera around my neck or in my hands.

The Things I’ve Learned

I spent alot of time away from SL.  I needed to focus on RL, hell – I’m still focusing on RL.  Now I’m needing the escape from reality and I crave SL again.  The best escape for me was always blogging – please forgive me as I’m a little rusty in the writing and styling departments.

So, did I learn anything with my time away.  You betcha! 

1. A month in this world is like a year, and a year is well.. an eternity.

2. Don’t call it a comeback – I stated a comeback early this year, that didn’t last.  I don’t know what I’m calling this…

3. Black and White really are my favorite colors.  Sorry y’all.  I wish I liked lots and lots of different colors in my wardrobe.  I just don’t.  My everyday clothing is nearly all black and white with a little extra thrown in.  

4. Friends.   I don’t know what I’ve learned.   The friends in RL aren’t loyal, and the friends in SL delete you while you’re away.  

5. SL doesn’t have pain and sickness.  I like that. That’s why I want to be here now.

What a Feeling!

Of all the women I look up to… none stand out quite as much as Alexandra (Alex) Owen.  Welder by day and dancer at Mawby’s by night.  Her dream is to be obtain a place at the Pittsburgh Conservatory of Dance and Repertory; and I must admit that her persistance and determination help force me to go after many of my own dreams.  From Ballerinas to Fashionistas, we all have dreams of being something great.  And I dare say that the true definition of strength is falling down and getting right back up to continue fighting for something you truly want.

To: Flashdance, the first movie I saw in the theatres as a child and a movie that continues to give me what a feeling each time I watch.
